I installed Onavo Extend on my HTC Desire S (Android 4.0.4) and I noticed that Onavo Extend isn't giving me any data savings. Also the Data Count session manager within Onavo Extend constantly shows that no data is being sent through.

Are there any other alternatives to Onavo Extend on Android?

Are you sure its actually activated, as I found it worked quite well. Just obviously does not support streaming media.

I did notice that it actually uses the amazon cloud network for compression, which is actually genius if you think about it. CloudFront itself stores cached data for a few hours to a few days, that's how it works so well, it has HTTP stream compression as well as Data compression which is why we don't actually see much of a speed knock.

What I wonder is how they pay for it, cuz however cheap its most definitely not free. Works out to about R2 per gb, give or take. They could potentially be forking over a massive amount of cash each month.

I've also found it doesn't work on my Desire S on 4.0.4. Have you found any solutions to the problem? Would installing a custom rom work?
