Im looking for a developer to develop an online booking, management and information system. If you have a bit of free time and are interested in making some extra cash please contact me.
 
I presume the job market for developers must be quite good since freelance work is not on anyone's agenda :cry:
 
You'd be right. Have you looked at open source (or paid for) projects similar to the one you want developed or is it very specific?
 
I haven't looked at open source but the thing is I really dont have the time. Im working a hectic job and studying part-time. Would there be a better place to source this kind of freelance job?
 
It all depends on what you are willing to pay. (to me, it doesn't sound like you have the cash.)

My advice: decide exactly what you want, in great detail. Explore other sites that do similar and find what works there. List them, and what you like about them.

Then post a brief job spec, you will get a lot more people interested than your original post, which is too vague. The freelance web dev market is booming, very few developers need to chase a client to get a job spec. and to quote.
 
Problem is I also don't want to go sharing the specs online for everyone to see. I would rather discuss it with the person, initially. I'm willing to pay the fair price of course. I think it would be difficult to judge if a person can afford it based on a forum posting :) Thanks for all the advise and pointing me in the right direction.
