webuycars.co.za.

They offered me a lot more for my car as opposed to trying to trade it in.
They made an offer even before seeing the car.

Are they legit?

Don't know. Please get a contract deal before selling your vehicle. These oaks find ways to part you of your items/money

Yes they are. Bought a car from us - they give an estimate of between two values (not far apart), come to you, drive it, confirm a value, pay on the spot and take your car...

They have accounts with all major banks so that the money clears immediately. Overall, very pleasant to deal with!

Hope it's not the Porsche ;)

Just make sure to tell them that your selling price excludes VAT as they will often make you a quote and then when they type up the contract you find out that they have taken VAT off your price.

Their service is excellent :). They said to us that if they come, they plan to leave with the car as they don't want to drive all the way to us and we turn down their offer... We actually managed to ask them to match what another company offered and they did

I have used them twice. Both times flawlessly. Both times money was in my account whilst the guy was still in my living room, both times the vehicles were left with me for a few days (one over the weekend, the other they let me still use for over a week, as my other vehicle wasn't ready yet, they just asked that I send proof of insurance.)

Both times they paid above trade and closer to what I'd get on a private sale with none of the private sale hassles.

Sold my wifes car about a month ago, they offered me R15K less than what I got for it.

I've used them. Great service. Quick and easy. They offered me much higher than trade value.

You guys are obviously lucky.

I heard the same thing about 2 years back about how they offer huge amounts more than a dealer - so I took my Volvo C30 there. They offered R160k and the Audi dealship offered R200k, which I obviously took.

I chatted to someone last week that mentioned he'd just done a transaction and got so much, so I decided to try again. Audi offered me R256,000 and they offer R200,000.

Seems on average R50,000 lower than a dealer

EDIT : Unless the difference is both times I'd be trading for another vehicle and on a buy only option, the dealer would offer similar. Although I'm still not quite thinking they'll offer R50,000 less than Webuycars

When you trading in a car, the dealership or manufacturer has some money to play with to sweeten the deal.
So you getting some extra trade assist but then lost out on a better discount on the new car.
