I'm just curious if Iburst has any plans or surprises other than the "pay per byte". It would be great if they can launch packages aimed at specific group of people ie. P2P, browsing, business or just home packages. They will make allot more money if they target the right groups.

Well, I don't have any hope for them anymore. I simply hope that when I come home in the evenings that it still works.

The 9 gb package is currently geared towards the p2p bunnies.
I don't know if iBurst is reliable enough for business use. There policy changes have turned alot of people away.

Their idea of business use is the occasional web browsing and email
Actually this holds for their whole idea of Internet usage...

Expect that it won't work, you may then have the occasional pleasant surprise :)

i burst used to be great... damn... it was like a breath of fresh air and now they are going the same route as sentech... which is a pile of ****.

to the idiot who said to me that iburst plans to be the best wireless provider... sentech mw 512 is outperforming you... so well done iburst... you are officially the worst ISP in the country and possibly the world.

Can anyone tell me what the Sentech website is? n how do i get a demo from dem? cos i hate telkom!

Any future plans for Iburst? erm

Moe, start with the zone locator on Sentech's website . If you do have coverage, specify your area here, maybe someone can do a free test for you, or bdt or connect can point you to a reseller that can assist.

Um yea! ..I saw this topic mentioned in the forums overview and thought I'd take a quick look- imagine my surprise at being mentioned! Thanks for the mention Luke, if nothing else (and after nigh on a year's worth of butting my head against this site, I DO expect nothing (in terms of commercial gain)) it's a welcome surprise to stumble across something like this.

I'll follow up with moe to see if we can help him out, thanks again.

No prob. OK, that's you sorted out. Me, on the other hand, will accept suitable reimbursement or, at the very least, a finder's fee for pointing moe in your direction and vice versa. Wait...that's finders's fee X 2 /me off to PM moe :D

Well, my future plan for iBurst is simple ... get rid of them as soon as I can ;-)

Now if only adsl started working on fiber ...

hehe... with a sense of humour like that I'd have guessed you're an iBurst masochist... :)

I am.......... not out of choice, :) and hopefully not for long .....
I believe Telkom are using subcontrators in Durbs............ seems like they run off there feet.
And D-link adsl modems are selling like hotcakes, according to Pinnacle Micro and LightEdge.........
So as soon as Telkom Install me already!!!!!
Then I can DROP THE iBURST s&m
