I have an e51 on mtn, the phone has worked perfectly. Then yesterday all of a sudden i could not make or receive any calls whatsoever. I checked on mtn active and i'm still inside my credit limit and the payments are done by debit order so everything is upto date.

I tried a different sim in the phone and the phone works perfectly. So it must be the sim. I phoned mtn and they say that everything is fine their side.

What do you think i should do? I can sms, but i can't receive or make calls and no data connections either.

the call barring service hasnt been activated by mistake? cant think what else would cause that...very strange. cant you make any calls at all? no emergency numbers nadda?

hello! smsing and 112 works. but all call barring is set to off. MTN has reset the sim on the network, but it still doesn't even want to dial 100.

i'm going to request a sim swap because i can't get incoming calls and i'm losing money!

What does the phone do when you try and call? does it say on service or anything?

it just says "connection error"

i just went to the mtn shop and they say a sim swap won't help. but other sims work perfectly in my phone.

I really don't know!

i dont understand why a sim swap wont work? it seems like it is the sim giving you issues? as all other sims work perfectly.

Hmmm this is very puzzling..
