When I receive payment proofs from Investec Private Banking clients, I have noticed that the mail headers of legitimate Investec proof of payments carry incorrect mail headers.
The "from" mail header appears as the beneficiary name:
Either:
1. Investec is allowing users to edit the mail header and some Investec users are completing it incorrectly.
2. Or, Investec has mis-coded the beneficiary name to appear in the "from" mail header.
Any Investec Private Banking clients able to confirm how this is happening?
This results in a proof of payment with the "from" mail header being:
from: <beneficiary> <remitter email>
If editing the "from" mail header is permitted by Investec, then is this not poor form?
