Any issues with using a UK modem here?

Hi all,

Migrating back to SA from the UK (YAY!! and bringing all my ADSL equipment with me and *hoping* to use it here - I have an Alcatel Speedtouch internal PCI card modem (forgotten the model - manual in the shipping crate!). Do you guys know of any issues with regards to using the UK micro-filters and this type of modem here? (besides the obvious changing of the plugs)?

I'm hoping it's all the same standard!!

You may have to reconfigure it, but I wouldn't think there would be any fundamental hardware incompatibilities.

yeh , it'll work here in SA no problems, just need to change setting PPPoA to PPPoE ... and VPI and VCI from 0,38 to 8,35 ....

i brought back a few ADSL things and all work fine
