my 1st time on site, did some sorted reads etc.. seems like a very informative site.
I got Adsl 5 days ago, after they upgraded my dorpie's excahnge finally!
so here goes, I've been anticipating this adsl thing like a hungry Tiger in the bushes for a loooong time now and did some seraches for uncapped adsl long before upgrade. I even signed contract with datapro, the 1st and best looking one i could find at the time(forgetting to check hellkom listings for uncapped adsl ppl).
Soo here I am...I'm a biiig anime fan and started DC++ the second I could connect and downloaded! Till two days later and 2.2Gb, DC++ no longer could connect! So i thought.. hmm port shaping.. firewall block of some kind.
Started goin thru list k++(dirty ones 1st), bottorrent or soemting, winmx, bla bla bla.. none worked.
Ok so better stop before the police come knockng i thought. So here I am a little dissapointed really, I knew about port shaping and thought "not too bad, slow downloads is ok at least time is no factor". I havent even paid for the service yet, but the surfing is fast, tho web pages tend to get stuck while loading. Had some email probs but that works.
in General i'd like to know if there are other DataPro ppl out there and what they think of the service etc, are there workarounds. Can you play online games. Do msn voice chats those kinds of things.
Any questions users might have about the service?
Oh lastly I am over the 3Gb limit and everything still works
