im buying a billion 7202GR2. Has anyone has any problems with it?
thanks

Yes,...i had one and it worked for 2 months..

then i did a firmware upgrade from the billion sa site and it just died on me

also the wireless range was very inadequate.

i had the model before the 7202gr2 and the wireless range was much better

I have the 7202, not to surre if it is the GR or if there is a differnet model on it. Range isn't great, I can't get signal outside my house, but internally it works fine, but maye that is a good thing. I also have noticed that when the modem gets turned off and on again it refuses to connect to the network and I have to call Telkom and they do something and then it works again. So that might be more of an issue with Telkom.
Other than that I am more than happy with the unit, considering how cheap it was.

hmmm, thats not good
maybe the draytek vigor 2700eg is a better option

The Snazzels

Ive got 1 of those Billion 7202GR2's and its working just fine for me. Have it for about 6 months now and had no problems with it. Wireless is suffiecient enough aswell.

I changed my Telkom Marconi Modem for a Billion 7402G and there was an immediate increase in speed and the line did not disconnect as frequently as did the Marconi. Wireless range is good +_ 50 m in old (1740) house with extremely thick walls!. Antenna can also be changed if required. Installation very easy and has hard Firewall and VPN etc.

ok ok, i've had just about enough about deciding on which router. im just gonna go buy the damn thing. :P thanks for the comments guys
