Any Renault Megane F1 drivers here?

Morning guys,

My SO has a Renault Megane F1. The rear left brake disc is cracked and we need a replacement.

I have called atleast 30 companies around the country, cant seem to find a disc. From scrapyards to importers to dealers, no luck. It would appear that the dimensions of the disc in question make it a very rare disc.

By change and in desperation, does anyone here perhaps have the rear-left brake disc? Attached is the old disc.

Have you reached out to Renault SA by chance? They may be interested in helping. I mean head office, not a dealer.

If you have to import it, how much would that be? Sometimes it is cheaper that way.
You tried formula friction in Edenvale yet?

Seems like World of Spares has 2 discs for me. Will post what happens.

The 2 discs ordered from "World of Spares" fitted perfectly.

The questions they asked help get the right disc. All my parts and stuff I will buy from them in the future.

Guys, I just want to add something to this post.

Our F1 developed kangaroo'ing problems and going into limp mode. Once again dealers and all other 'experts' couldnt help. At best the one quoted replacing a whole bunch of sensors for R5500 and hoping for the best. Nobody knew exactly what to do.

I dug around and found Melvin from http://www.tahmobilemechanic.co.za/

He came to my house today and under 2 hours my Megane was fixed. It evens performs better than it did before, hitting 130 in 3rd is easy. Only went this speed in 3rd to test the car, not to be windgat.

What really impressed me about Melvin is that his kit is impressive. All other 'experts' had laptops and clunky cables to connect to the cars computer. He rocks up with a tablet and a bluetooth connector. Being an IT guy I was impressed. He flips through the tablet for about 5 minutes and says ok, lets jack the car up.

Trues-bob the crank shaft sensor looked like it was dragged through oil, sand and siht manually by someone. He cleaned it up and and went through the whole engine and advised on future items needing attention we werent aware of.

Just over a R1000 and on a Sunday. Guys I highly recommend Melvin Molale from tahmobilemechanic for complicated problems.
