What do you guys think about using an SMA T-connector to combine the output from a cross polarised MIMO antenna to one input?

My XPOL-6 has 2 male SMA connectors. I believe the housing contains 2 antennas, polarised at 45° and -45°, respectively. My Huawei B311As router only has one female SMA connector.

What effect would this have? Would the two signals simply cancel out? Or could I get better signal?

You will probably just end up causing noise on the frequencies

The 2 different polarised signals will be receieved at different strengths and timing (reflection etc) which will be like an echo and just be noise to the modem

Thanks, but I have the xpol-6 already. It came with my house. I just use one leg of it on my router. Seems to work ok.

Have you ever tried a directional antenna? eg. B2338?

The XPOL-6 is directional. The problem in my case is that it is a MIMO antenna (2 cross polarised outputs) but my B311A has only one SMA connector. So I just tested both cables, picked the one with better stats (after aiming) and used that. It works well enough :)

How does your throughput look?

Howsit bru, what's the name of the app you're using to schedule speedtests? Been looking for something like that.
Hey dude, sure. I tried so many and this is the best. When you set the auto speedtest, just make sure to set an end date far away (I set 31 Dec 2020), cos by default it sets it to 24 from start and it keeps stopping.

please post a pic, drawing with your connector setup. Want to check something.
I did not end up using any connector. The antenna has 2 x male SMA, the router has 1 x female SMA. Only one is plugged in from the antenna.

Ah, shot bru. I'll make sure to set the end date, thanks for the heads up!
