Recently got a S10e.

Now I'm far from a power user I don't even play games but my battery just keeps draining, even when I'm not using my phone.

Overnight I lose 8% battery.

This morning I left with 88% for work and now its dead. Have not used the phone since 9am today.

Under battery it shows android os consuming 45% battery. Things like screen and idle is below 5%.

Anyone else have this issue or perhaps a solution?

Try turning off Wifi and bluetooth scanning, they can be found under location settings.

How are the comms at you work? If the network is bad your phone constantly tries to find a better signal and this eats batteries faster than a traffic cop eats a Streetwise2.

I dont use the wifi at work. This issue is not just at work its all the time. Im thinking its a software bug

If its within 7 days, it can be classified as an OBF and they will have to replace the phone.

Yes telkom
Apparently Telekom has some LTE bug or similar and it kills the battery, go to mobile networks and select gsm/wdcma(ie no Lte) and see how the battery life is after that.

Even with WIFI off, if you have wifi scanning it will still be "on", turn it off.

Will try this. I wiped the cache from recovery and its seems to have improved. A 6% loss from last night.
However android os is starting to consume more power again up from 5% last night to 8% today.
This proves its a bug with software. Ive switched off all scanning and features I dont use but well see
