I need some help with setting up a will etc and a colleague put me onto Capital Legacy.

https://www.capitallegacy.co.za/

From my discussion with him, they will help you draft your will and keep it safe for you and your family for free.

Then they offer something additional if you choose to take it, they work out a plan to ensure you do not pay costs to have your estate executed. E.g. if you estate is worth R1Mil, your family will receive R1Mil, they will cover all the costs. They do this by working out a monthly premium you pay. Primary drivers are your age and value of your estate.

Does anybody have any experience with them?

Capital Legacy’s principal reason for existence is to effectively drive down the legal costs borne by deceased estates. Such legal costs come in the guise of executor fees, trustee fees and conveyance attorney charges and diminish the value of your intended legacies by stealth.
With our Legacy Protection Plan and unique "Maximum Insured Benefit" in force, your deceased estate is safeguarded against such fees and your assets preserved for your loved ones.

Hope people can shed some light, before i meet them for a consultation later in the week.

Thanks

Its an interesting idea actually...

Would be interested to know how it goes, its something I need to do as well.

Yeah it is an interesting idea. The guy told me his premium was about R70 per month. He is 32. He didnt want to share what his estate was valued at.

Good afternoon, just to let you know that the CEO of Capital Legacy did do a formal response to the above-mentioned article in 2019, please kindly see their response by clicking on the link below, I hope this helps: https://www.capitallegacy.co.za/capital-legacys-response-to-article/

One post since registering and a simple Google shows that you are affiliated with the company: https://www.thecalendar.org.za/event/capital-legacy-virtual-launch-hosted-by-larry-king

Are you their PR/social media representative? Perhaps introduce yourself to the forum and have the mods verify you as the official point person that forumites can address concerns to? Otherwise it looks like you're trying to masquerade as a neutral third party ("the CEO" instead of "our CEO", "their response" instead of "our response") which creates bad faith (something other startups have done on this forum with poor consequences). Just some forum etiquette that you may not be aware of. Welcome to mybb btw!

And who are these "trustees"?

This is all so open ended, these Trustees will just get kickbacks for going with certain companies for "investments".

Snakes.

I don't intend to die anytime soon, will they be around in 50 years? Will I be paying per month for 50 years? I know you can't predict life, but why? Why dont you make an investment with a competent estate planner, rather than a pay as you go type thing.
