Any touch screen cellphone

The guy who helps around the complex is dying for a touch screen phone - any touch phone screen. What's the cheapest models I can look at - even used?

He has R1,000.00

Well I am pretty sure for a R1000 he can get any ol phone and touch the screen, if it will actually do anything I do not know, perhaps a local pawn shop?

I actually see the classfied has a LG Viewty with touch screen at R1,200.00 and a SE W950 for R1,000.00.

Please do not get the LG, if its the one i am thinking of the touch screen is horrific. A friend of mine returned it simply because the phone was not operable with the screen...
