Any Uber drivers here? Need info.

What are Uber's requirements in SA (guessing license + PDP)? Do they verify these? What about the smartphones used by the drivers? There are dozens of Youtube videos on how the American version works (I saw one driver who received an actual kit that had an iPhone with the Uber driver app installed). All I've heard is that one must have no criminal record. Another very important question: since the driver is very much his own boss and dictates his working hours, can he decline a trip after picking up the rider (Youtube videos showed drivers have no way of knowing the rider's destination until after picking them up)? If say they rider is picked up in Pta and want to go to Bloem. Can you refuse (and cancel the ride without) the possibility of the Rider giving a negative review?

I have asked this question before and the driver confirmed that the device and vehicle is owned by uber.

When I request a ride, the driver always calls to confirm that i requested a ride, my location and where I am going.
Not sure about the review part though...
