Any useful Wi-Fi Hotspot software [Windows 8.1]

Hi,

So my mobile phone is out of airtime and the data bundle I had purchased, I still have some data on my data stick and I would like to create a Wi-Fi hotspot on my Laptop to share the internet.

I tried finding this feature on Windows 8.1, couldn't find it, Google'd it and found out Microsoft apparently removed this feature from Windows 8

I know about Connectify, I downloaded that, the free version doesn't allow sharing of dial up and mobile broadband connections. On top of that, there is a time limit on the wi-fi hotspot being active - how dumb is that?

I did google some alternatives, tried MyPublicWiFi - this installed, hotspot worked, but it couldn't share my internet connection for some reason. I also tried WiFi Hotspot Creator - that software installed, but it couldnt find my wireless card. I also tried Virtual Router, that crashed after install.

So, any alternatives I could try?

What you want to do is share the connecting dial-up net over your wireless NIC. That's it.

This works well for me on Windows 7, and it's a freebie:

I believe it also works with Windows 8.
