Does anyone know VW's quite well, especially when it comes to the wiring? My wife's Polo's right hand side lights are not functioning properly. The rear right light keeps blowing a fuse, even though I've changed the fuse & bulbs. And the front right light is constantly on "park light", even though I've replaced the bulbs, fuses and even the whole light unit.

Can someone please give me some advice on this?

What year model polo?

Sounds like you have a short somewhere in the harness between the fuse box and the light bulbs.

I think it's a 2000 / 2001 model, the one with the round dash & mirrors, but it's a Polo Playa, not the newer ones. I also figured it's a short somewhere, but can't see it. Is there any easy way of tracing it?

Sounds like your Seat Ibiza is showing its Spanish temperament :)

I think you could be looking at a wiring loom issue, and those are not easy to detect or fix. Do you know a good auto electrical place that you trust?

Funny, coming from the man who drives a Tata.......

anyway, I don't know anyone around who won't completely rip me off, and leave the car in a worse state than what it was in.
