Hi Ye olde faithful!!

My Android LG G4 phone is in for repairs so I need to use an old BB 9230 for the next week or 2.
Surprisingly capable phone, its fast fully featured etc, small screen is very sharp for how low the res is and that's coming from a 5.5" HD Android power house, actually I really like it, its so small and easy to use.

Buuuuuuuut, here's the big but its received no updates for 4 odd yrs now and even whatsapp support is apparently discontinued etc. Anyway I need to sync my gmail contacts and email which is apparently still possible if you subscribe to BIS but I'm not, is there any hack to get this working via normal 3G, I'm on MTN?

I can see this is going to take a long time to get a response, does anyone even use Blackberries anymore?

I never used gmail on my BlackBerry.
On the OS10 version it worked.

I've used BES with my 9900, the only thing that would be quick, make a profile on Outlook, sync your gmail account with Outlook.
Then install BlackBerry desktop software and sync Outlook profile with phone.

That would work except I read that BB desktop only syncs with 32bit outlook and I have 64bit installed, I tried but nothing gets synced.

How else can I view contacts other than the opera browser, which will be very clunky

Ok, sync to Outlook from Gmail, export contacts to CSV file

Then use BlackBerry desktop software to import csv
