Anybody come across Isonic CE269 netbook?

Recieved a mail from one of my suppliers advertising a CE269 netbook for R1449 (ex VAT) Can't really find anything on the net other than this page:

The netbook being sold has 1GB, 30GB hard drive and no OS. Not a bad price but I'd like to see some reviews.

Looks like a rebadged 1st gen eee PC?

Shop around - Expansys got the AA1 with 120GB hdd for R2150 vat incl - thinking of getting me one of those - just can't justify spending R4k on a regular netbook...
 
I will not buy it, it's specs suck and Isonic don't have a very good reputation (or atleast with psus they don't)
 
Isonic is almost the same as Mecer, they just rebrand other manufacturers products. I have an iSonic bluetooth headset that is actually a Samsung product. The netbook is just a generic VIA product that you can order and put your own name on.
 
Isonic is a local brand...and like mentioned they just sell rebadged products. So some are good, some not to goodi.
Isn't maxtor brought out by seagate or something similar?
 
Just got a mail from a buddy of mine that these are now R999 ex vat?

Then I can take out the hdd and push it into my busted iPod, sell that for R1k, then the lappy costs me nothing?

Looks like an ideal uTorrent machine with a large external usb hdd!
 
So it's R200 for the internal 3G card? Coz DionWired is selling the normal HP mini w/o 3G for R3999!
