Havent played WOW for a bit and was wondering if anyone near Parow or Strand in Cape Town has all the patchs for me?

Man i have been trying for about 3 weeks to get the patches.. No luck..
3 Ads on gumtree, still no luck..
Hope it goes better for you :)

Go ask on the Prophecy forums. Lots of capies there.
 
You guys could pay someone to cut them to a disc and courier them to you? or just download them with local only accounts. R10 a gb.

Or go to internet cafe and ask them to dl it for you.

I paid R30 for my patches :) went to quiet Internet cafe started my downloads came back hours later and they where done ;)
 
Im in JHB, not cape town :P
And wud be more than happy to pay for someone to burn+send them to me.
Gonna try the Prophecy forums anyway though.


BTW Crawley i remember pvping against you a few times :P

I live in PE and would be happy to cut it to DVD and courier down to you if you can cover the costs.

Hi there capie here, just a headsup. Cutting the patches to a disc/flashdrive does not resolve your issue. It seems like some of the patches you will still have to download.

I just installed WOW on a new laptop. I copied all the the patches (including all hidden files) from my old laptop to my new one, but patch

3.1.1.9767
3.1.1.9835

were missing, you only seem to have the downloaders for them, but not the physical patch itself. It could be that these are imbedded - I dont know.

I ended up installing them again.
 
I'm in JHB, just shout if you want to come copy it.

You don't copy the patches only, you copy the whole directory. Mine is sitting at 16Gb at the moment but includes 3 years of screenshots as well as all my addons.

Tried that and it doesn't work either. Comes up with error

Missing line - Battlle.net line 53_missing

Might be doing something wrong.
 
Personaly, on a freshly formatted pc, I do a reinstall from the original CD's... then once the base install is done and all the important registry entries are done, then I will copy the whole copied directory over... that way I have all the registry entries on my pc + the game is up to date. Installing the patches manually is painfull... reaaaaally painfull.

Just finnished that, wow is working, waiting to test it when the servers go up.

If you using Vista they are placed in a different directory all together only the downloaders would be in you WoW folder. Very important for vista & Win 7 users to get the patches from Windows Vista, Windows 7

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft\Patches\

Ah plonk, that was probably the problem, I'm using Vista on my new laptop.
