I would like to install the following mods but at the same time keep them separate to my main install using the mods folder so social club does not overwrite the mods & I can go online with the default install.

https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/naturalvision-photorealistic-gtav
https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/visualv
https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/l-a-roads-8ae63c30-de64-4f16-8f3d-40c9e6d16212
https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/l-a-roads-patch
https://www.gta5-mods.com/maps/real-freeway-signs
https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/...ted-engine-livery-tunable-autospoiler-nfs2015

My understanding is that whatever files I'm gonna modify I have to copy to the mods folder with the full correct paths and then modify the copied files?

What about files that you are instructed to put into the root of your original gta v install, stuff like reshade etc?

I am using OpenIV, but it's been some time since I've made use of it. I do however have two GTA V folders, one with the original game files and another one with modded files. Hopefully this will help.

How did you set that up?

Currently I have my entire game folder backed up to another drive incase I fubar my install.

I just copied the entire games folder and renamed it to GTAV Modded. Works like a charm and I still have my original games folder.

I just copied the entire games folder and renamed it to GTAV Modded. Works like a charm and I still have my original games folder.

So if my original desktop icon points to,
"C:\Games\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V\PlayGTAV.exe"

I can just create another folder called 'Grand Theft Auto V - Modded' with a shortcut pointing to,
"C:\Games\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V - Modded\PlayGTAV.exe"

There won't be any registry issues etc?
How do yous stop the second instance from being updated and overwriting any files you modded?
