There might just be a job opportunity for me in the Netherlands.

I was hoping I could get some feedback from somebody who has stayed there for a while, so that I can get an idea on what life is like over there compared to here.

How would you compare it to JHB then?

I've got some friends who stay in Amersfoort and Den Haag, so that is the closest I got to Rotterdam. When I visited my friends and told them that I wanted to go see Rotterdam that was the answer I got from both of them to describe the place.

Both of them were born in NL.

Getting in the EU as an outsider without a sponsor can be very hard - they have to prove there is no one in the country that can do your job before they can offer it to you.

Well done if you can manage that.

Normally on a South African passport you are better off going overseas and using Tinder to marry someone for a passport first.

I don't unfortunately. The company will handle all paperwork and relocation costs. I'm assuming they supply you with a work visa.

Yup. On that side also be careful with agencies when they do this - they can charge you upfront to find a job and then tell you sorry there is no job after you paid them. Lots of scams.

Only reason I'm considering this is because I was approached by an agency who have a job suitable for me, not the other way around. If I have to pay 1 cent then I'm out.
