Technically that is incorrect.

All it does is, instead of bundling the replies in pairs of 2, it sends it in pairs of 1 now. The overhead of tcp might make that a little bit more but nothing you will notice on your cap...
 
I use this with an Axxess Semi-Shaped account. Never get latencies over 500ms.
Played alot lastnight on Lightbringer and the average was about 350ms. Not much lower than a normla SAIX Shaped account, but you really can feel the diffrence.
 
so you just copy it into your addon directory and Bob's your alt? Or how does this work?
 
its a registry fix for the tckp ack frequency, it does not use moar capz, and i posted this addon about 2 months ago. It works fine for some, not so fine for others, it will however decrease the speed of large files, so if you plan to download alot you will need to reverse the fix.
 
384k shaped SAIX account went from 800+ms to an average of 590-650ms sometimes lower than 500 (above 450) but that's usually at night and not at the end of the month.

My unshaped account gives me around 280-370ms.

I'm sure if I upgrade my 384 to something bigger I'd be able to get a bit lower (more stable ping). It doesn't vary wildly, but it does suck when I load pages (like wowhead) while I play
 
its fail on Iflop.. IBust whatever u call it... used more bandwidth .. and i had normal latency for some reason it uses moar cap on iburst thanx to their packet loss
 
Goodness did the famous TCP hack topic stick its head out again ???

We reaaaaaaaaaally need to sticky this registry hack. Seems we keep discussing the same things over and over. :sick:
