I setup a trial account and have a dual box system running.

If you upgrade the trail to a retail account you get a free month, and if you buy another month, you get a free month on the referrer account.

Using the recruit a friend option with 3x xp. I have two lvl 50 characters in 1d 10 hours playtime. I'm busy dual boxing a warrior and priest. It is very easy once you get the hang of it.

If you don't have a main on the server or a friend, you will run into a lot of problems with gold to buy talents because of the rate you level up.

IF anyone is interested in running a setup like this using a single PC. I use a button/click mapping program called Octopus.

How does this fit in with the EULA of WoW? We've got 2 accounts (1 for my wife and one for myself) and wouldn't mind trying it to get as many toons to 70 as possible before the expansion.

I see you are using a warrior and a priest, how is that working for you, a caster in combination with a melee?

I dual box... mostly on my shaman and paladin (but this is not true dual bozing because I simply put the paladin on follow while doing dailies).

I'm also just starting out with group leveling a couple of characters at once (initially with just 1 class, i.e. shaman).

I spoke to a GM and they are fine with it, as long as both accounts are in your name, then you're not sharing accounts. You're not running any bots or automated scripts.

The warrior + priest combo is great.... warrior takes aggro and dps, priest is does shadow dmg + heals if needed.

If you do a melee/ caster combo, always have the melee as your primary toon, IE. you don't run him with macro's. It will create problems because of the /follow distance and our latency, you never get close enough with melee really. The caster can be controlled with macros /assist MT /cast frostbolt etc.

Also testing 2 mages which is quite fun, they nuke everything very fast.

I would definitely go for something like a Warrior/Priest setup, I wouldn't know what to do with 2 of exactly the same class when they reach 70. At least when you do the Warrior/Priest setup you get 2 completely new toons, used for different functions. The down side is that you'll need to learn/understand two classes at the same time. My Shaman is hard enough, I can just imagine if I had to do 2 new classes to me....at the same time.

Well if you have 2 mages, and you learn to dual box efficiently, you could easily take them raiding.

The other bonus is once you lvl up your character to lvl 59, you can grant about 30 levels to a low level toon on the alternate account.... so I got my paladin up from level 15 to 40 in 1 minute.

More detail please :D

nvm, I have read the bennefits of the friend referal system. To bad my accounts are registered on my South African address :(

How strange.... I'm eligible for the refer a friend program and I play on US servers (currently got a group of lvl 8s... 2 mages, 1 priest, 1 druid and a warlock)... if they hit level 59 quickly they will be boosting 2 of other characters to level 59/60 (both are in their 30s).
