My GF (she is the only person that I know with a Blackberry) told me that I shouldn't bother to download it, as the communication between us with WhatsApp is just fine :wtf:

Initially, there may very well be apathy towards BBM, after all it represents something people eventually got to loathe, not because of the app, but for reasons we already know. However, I think once traction in both IOS and Android gathers momentum, the uptake will be phenomenal. I, for one, hope so.

Agree. BBM is also very stable compared to other platforms like Mxit but they are going to need to offer an API if they want to become the global leading IM platform.

Fortunatley for them its still an open race and they still have a chance on taking on Whatsapp, Wechat, etc
