Only really able to even work on my laptop today, been unable to even move my head much the last 2 days...

Anyone else got this bug?
If you know someone that has it, stay well away from them...

My head has been hurting for four days and one nostril leaking the whole of yesterday. Same thing?

Yip, I think so.

The headcrusher aspect last about 2 days and then eases of somewhat, which seems like a dream :D

My theory is flu is going to kill us all one day. Every year it gets worse and the scary thing is you can't do squat even with antivirials because you don't know its infected you. When you start showing symptoms its already too late

lmao? I can't even remember the last time I got flu. Clearly whatever you're doing is not working.

We've all been ill 2 or 3 times already this winter with killer flu. :(

Was a bad winter.

I got sent home on Friday, hopefully before I infected the rest of the people in my office.

Call me when it's Captain Trips.
:D

BTW, this isn't too implausible. Didn't some flu kill 90% of the Indians in America when the Spanish arrived?

I'm in week 4 and coughing still. The first 2 weeks were ghastly - thought I was terminal. It is a really bad one - it must have some kind of bird associated - maybe Hadeda flu.

Yes, but European people had been living with sickly chickens and sickly sheep, sickly swine and sickly bovine (notice the alliteration ;)) for thousands of years already. We have developed a resistence to those animals' mutant diseases.

Measels and the Mumps are a trivial thing to white people.

The Spanish flu of 1919 killed millions - more than died in WWI. I see the Wikipedia article reckons up to 3% of the world's population. Scary stuff.

picked up the same killer one - smashing headaches/fever/muscle-pain all over since friday last week. traditional flu-meds (corenza c) did nothing and by wednesday my eyes turned red. eventually got antibiotics on wednesday and today my vision blurred and went for a 2nd opinion - cortison injection, new run of antibiotics, 2 different eye-drops and at least after 8 hours my vision is not foggy anymore and symptoms are starting to disappear. very scary when you wake up in the morning with your eyesight going.

Had a killer headache. Felt nauseous and really bad cramps. and then it went to my ears. I have never had such a bad middle ear infection. 10 days on anti biotics. completed day 4. 6 left to go. have to take 2 capsules 3 times a day. Ears still a ;little blocked and my nose streams lol

I'm sick at the moment.

I woke up at 3 this morning with a blocked nose and I couldn't go to sleep again. I took Advil CS immediately and from 7 - 9 I took the best 2 hours of sleep this year.

Oooo-k... :erm: must admit I've never had that symptom before.

it's something infectious - been to an opthamalogist and running a few blood tests. the cloudy vision is due to oveitis which seems to have been caused by whatever bug I have :-( not great
