I finally installed my own adsl last night everything went smoothly I connected to my p2p sharing program no hassles but the moment I clicked on internet explorer no matter which site I went onto local or international the page could not be found. I did give telkom a call and they logged it as a line fault but I'm thinking maybe it's my internet settings or something like that.

Anyone else ever have a problem similar to this one?

Open IE.

Click Tools --> Internet Options.

Select the Connections tab. Click the "LAN Settings..." button.
Tick the first box "Automatically detect settings"
Click OK, and OK.
Close IE.
Reopen IE.

Should work for you

Its more than likely your DNS Settings, make sure you have the correct DNS servers set in your local area network settings. If you dont have any DNS servers and you router is in route mode (not bridge) try adding the IP of you router as the primary server. This will more than likely solve your problem

Had that problem once...when i had loads of adwares and spywares on my pc!
Just for incase, go to www.spybot.net and do a scan ;)
Even if its not that, it will help in future if u dont already got it!
