Anyone else having connection issues? (Telkom)

Since this morning I've been having some major issues. I stay in Brackendowns Alberton and my internet line keeps disconnecting about once every half an hour. I must then reset my modem and all works again for a short period of time. This is for both Telkom and WA accounts :wtf:
Not only that but I can't even call through to any of Telkom's numbers (let alone a normal phone number) whether it be for ADSL, line fault reporting, Accounts... It just has an engaged tone.

This basically started happening yesterday afternoon, but the analogue line was still working and the internet line would just disconnect and re-sync again. I have no idea what to do :confused:
 
I seem to have the same problem. Called Telkom last night and the rather helpful assistance suggested that I try using another modem and if the same thing happens then I must report a fault. While on the phone with him he noticed that there was a lot of static on my line and said that there could be interference on the line. When the line is up and running it is fine and speed is stable but the random (and quite often) disconnects are rather frustrating. I'm going to try another modem and take it from there.

Did you remove the filter and attach the phone directly? Do you hear any noise etc?

Also when you visit Telkom's shop take the filter/s and phone/s with you. One of them might be faulty. Remember to get a ref number.

Rob same problem with Afrihost at work international so slow
