I've used my Openweb IS Uncapped account for a long time now and I've always been able to download files hosted on ZShare.net. Last week Monday I noticed that I can no longer download from their website. I do have access to their website, but if I click on the 'Download Now' link it does its normal countdown before providing me with a link, upon clicking that link it goes back to the previous page for no reason at all and the download does not start. In the past clicking on the link would provide me with the browser download window and I could choose where on my PC I wished to save the file, this no longer happens.

If I disconnect from my OpenWeb IS account and log in with my Webafrica SAIX 4GB capped account, I can download from ZShare.net as I normally did with no problems.

It seems that resetting the port has not fixed the problem. I have no idea what to do, I use my 4GB capped account for WoW and for surfing, the reason I have the uncapped account is to do all my downloading and thus not use up my capped account. I've tried different routers, changed between 2 ADSL lines, tried different browsers and also tried on different PC's with the same results each time.

Is IS blocking out Zshare.net for some reason ?

I sent all the above information to OpenWeb, they fowarded it to IS for investigation on July 31st. I have received no word from them yet, but I would like to know if anyone else on IS is experiencing the same problem.

Thank you for replying.

I realise that those sites you recommended are better, personally I prefer to use http://www.mediafire.com/ . The problem is that I'm a member of a few online groups and they share their files through zshare.net only.

Furthermore while there are many other better services there, us IS subscribers shouldn't be restricted from using any of them at all whether they are good or bad. By paying our monthly fee we should get full access to the internet, not just partial access.

Whats really confusing about all this is, zshare downloads did work perfectly until very recently. I don't understand what IS has changed on their side to stop it from working.

It might be a caching problem on IS' side. Try give it a few days then see. Failing that I think there is a post somewhere here that lists a few alternate proxy servers to use
