I have been a Afrihost customer for years and this doesn't mean S&^T to afrihost. I went for the fixed wireless deal and is probably the worst mistake ever.

since day one this router has been dropping signal and afrihost keep on shifting the blame. they are telling me that cell c is dropping the signal every hour. How can you watch something or work when a signal drops every time. I asked the agent if this will be like tis forever and he could'nt even answer me. I have been sitting with this issue for a month and still does it. Even cancelled my ADSL out of excitement but i am learning the hard way.

I have complained about this since day one and i am thinking of cancelling this product and will refuse to pay the R999 fee. I have all the proof to give if it must go the legal route as I personally think it is an inferior product and the CPA will support me in this as a dissatisfied customer.

I would like to know if there are more people experiencing this or is it just me as I cant get a straight answer from my ISP

WARNING : DONOT GO FOR AFRIHOST!!!

I have the Cell C fixed LTE from WebAfrica and it has been fine right up until this past week. Now as soon as 4pm arrives and the masses hit the roads to go home I may as well give up all hope of using the internet. The d/l speed drops from about 8Mbps down to under 1Mbps. Reminds me of dial up.

Fortunately I still have my Rain sim which when I swap it out in the B618 router boosts me up to about 20Mbps d/l.

I guess I know now why the Cell C product is so much cheaper. You get what you pay for.

And by golly, is WebAfrica the most useless ISP in SA or what? I don't think there is a single person working on support there. You can submit tickets and they never ever get answered. Try them on social media and it's just as bad. Avoid these clowns at all costs. They make Afrihost look like Olympians in comparison.
