Nothing destroys Crysis.
Depends on the resolution you want to run it at. With an Ultra at 1280x1024, everything set to very high no AA it'll run fine, 50+ fps. But dare to push up AA even to 2x and watch as your fps drops to less than 30.
Apparently the new patch helps out but I haven't tried it yet.

You'll be better off buying 2 x 8800GT cards for R5000 that a 8800ULTRA for the same price, a friend of mine's running Crysis on :
Q6600 @ 3.0Ghz
2 GB Team Extreem Ram @ 959Mhz
680i mobo
2 x XFX Alpha Dog 8800GT cards
, he gets between 20 and 60 FPS,
running the game @ 1680x1050.
He can't tell me whether he's got AA on, but his graphics looks awesome...
If you wanna hear from someone running an 8800ULTRA : Go to SystemShock and hear from the people on the forums there, there's sure to be someone with an 8800ULTRA, but even that person will tell you to rather go 2x8800GT in SLi

My honest opinion on Crysis is that it is just a 12Hour tech demo
Having said this by the time hardware comes out that will "pwn" Crysis there will be something better out.. Far Cry 2, BiA: Hell's highway and so forth, looking forward to HH

why an ultra when you could buy a gtx and just overclock it to ultra speeds ???? .. waste of money imo ... and reviews of this card have said the same ... id rather wait for the next gen of cards
