Anyone has Core2Quad for sale?
I know where i can buy them new.
Just want to know if i can get one second hand and save some money.

I have a pretty beefy dual core 3.2Ghz in it my current machine.
Reason i don't want to upgrade to a LGA1155 board is all the programs i currently have on my LGA775 system. Some have to be registered over the phone with just a heck of a lot of rickmarole and re-patching it to the up to date version.
If i could have upgraded my system to a LGA1155 without having to reinstall everything that would have been super.
Reason for upgrading is some games are starting to really want a quad core cpu for optimum performance.

You could just clone/ghost your hard drive then when you get the new Pc put the image on the new hard drive.

Or depending on what OS you have you could do a repair install on the new Pc which would just reinstall the windows and update the drivers.

I have a Q6600, but a baremetal restore(ghost) to new hardware would work.

Acronis Universal restore is what I usually use
