Anyone having any IS/SAIX problems today?

Mate of mine can't connect to STEAM via 2Mb IS line and I am having slow slow connection to our server hosted at IS (I am on SAIX - Durban).

Anyone know if there is maintenance or problems?
 
Must be the IS <-> SAIX peering link again...

My uncapped 512K IS ADSL fine today. International was slow last week.
 
Have been having huge speed and dns issues with IS account in Cape Town all day (started Saturday when the upgrade on the peering link began).
 
Most likely the SAIX issue - I have two accounts, a SAIX and an IS.

Was using the SAIX this morning and connection to IS was abysmal. Switched to my IS account, and things are better.
 
This is soooo frustrating. Moved to IS to try and stem a few ronts away from the greedy bastards at Telkom, but now it looks like I am going to have to go back to SAIX anyway <grumble>

One thing to check, is that you have a 196.x.x.x ip address. Until recently, I had a 165.x.x.x ip address with an IS ADSL account.

If you do not, that will cause you much grief.

Have a 196.xxx.xxx.xxx ip address. Glad I am not the only one experiencing these probs, as I was just about to go out and replace my poor old USB ADSL modem with a router.
 
Its not just IS users getting issues, its random and definitely noticable for SAIX users aswell..

Culprit, Telkom. Reason, who knows.
