Hey guys..
I am located in Lansdowne, so within direct sight of the Constantiaberg lytower.
I bought a cheap DTT box from China, to experiment with the SA's digital signals. The box arrived today, set it up, tuned it. It eventually found all channels. I'm using an amplified Ellies antenna, on my windowsill directly pointed at the Constantia transmitter. All the channels, come in clear as expected, then the picture is unwatchable, as it stops, and starts, and splutters. I don't think it's my signal, unless I am recieving a signal from the Tygerberg instead. The box doesn't have SA on the menu, the nearest to SA, which allows me to tune the channels. is Ghana. The breaking up occurs on all channels. Maybe I have it on a country, where the bandwith per channel isn't correct, and while they can lock onto the channels, due to insuffient bandwith, that's what's leading to them breaking up.
