Does anyone else with a Huawei portable E5331 router know how to keep it from going to sleep after xxx inactivity? I have to position it in a very inaccessible place because of a poor signal, but overnight it shuts down despite being set for the maximum timeout in the software interface, so that my mornings start with serious acrobatics to press the wake-up button again...

Other than having to leave my computer on overnight to keep 'calling' the modem, which is wasteful, is there any other way of keeping the the thing awake 24/7?

Cellphone connected to wifi? ;)

Do you have the Huawei app on your phone? You should be able to toggle power from that.

Edit: Sorry, scratch that, the app has the facility but the E5331 doesn't support it.
