Firefox finally released 64bit recently(apparently beta 64bit has been around for ages already).
Anyone manage to migrate from 32bit to 64bit without needing to start from scratch?
And does it look like most add-ons work in 64bit?

I tried installing 64bit and it just crashes whenever it starts and the installation gave me no clue whether it was migrating user content from 32bit or not.

I've been using the 64bit version for ages with all my addons working just fine - however it was a fresh start, not a migration on a single system.

The firefox online thingy is also pretty good - stores recent pages, saved passwords and even addon lists if you are comfortable giving mozilla that sort of info to store for you.

You reckon I can just sync the 64bit install with Firefox sync to get back to more-or-less where I am with 32bit currently? Won't open opened pages though and I have quite a few open, few hundred, can't seem to get round to sorting through them

Yeah dont see why not. The 100 pages or so you'll just have to binge read quickly :p

I've been using the 64bit linux version for ages and have no problems syncing with 32bit versions on windows.
