SAP consultants are highly paid, and sought after, but it's still hard to find work for them. Ironic actually.

I know quite a number of SAP consultants struggling to hit it big in the market. I have family member who has left SA 14 years ago and has been travelling the world since doing his job. He decided to settle in the UK, got his British passport, bought a property there and is now flying across Europe on projects during the week and returning 'home' weekends.

I suppose it all depends on how big the demand is for certain individuals on whether they will hit it big time in SAP or simply work for some company earning an average SAP salary.

SAP consultants come in all shapes & sizes in my experience. Can he do basic SAP work, or can he configure a SAP system for 20 international offices in different currencies with JIT? That difference is easily worth an extra zero in the salary.
