ANyone play on wireless??

As promised got the link and here is the feedback.
The latency is way too high 800+.

My link is losing packets and spiking on the first hop after the CPE, so even if it was a capped package it would still not work.

Looks like im sticking to Telkom Wimax

Which ISP???

Yeah wireless can be great depends on the provider unfortunately.
Telkom Wimax gives me 250ms stable :) but doesn't seem to handle 25 man raiding :(

Try out Traffic compressor. I used to raid 10 man on MTN Edge with it :p. I'm using it for warhammer online, saves me bw and keeps it stable. If you do, just don't switch too quickly. Not sure how Blizzard bans people these days lol.

I think that is due to the 512 part of the link :( WoW raiding needs a faster link. They recommend 4096kbps down and 1024kbps up. Which this LLU thing can kick in so we can get some competition running on ADSL lines.

Yeah I think 512 might not be enough for 25 mans.
Some competition would be great. But my cables keep getting stolen.
Damn thieves, wish their balls would rot off.

Oh how I miss my 4mb adsl :(

Dal2000 you are the man!!!!!!!

Traffic Compressor works like a charm.
25 man Cho'gall no issues :D , used to be a lag fest before.
How is this not more popular than the lowerping services O.o.

Thanks again

details details details. wondering if this will work on a 384k line. not having any issues with using just leatrix and no proxy server, but still...

Going to try it on iBurst. Hopefully I'll be able to do a 5man dungeon then :p

It's worth a try :D

The trial disconnects after a few megabytes so give it a whirl, use with caution though as it is a proxy service both my acc's are fine but I was using battleping before.
The compression is saving me a ton of bandwidth, 120mb's for 4 hours of 25 man :D hopefully now my precious WA bandwidth won't run out as quick anymore lol.

Keep in mind I've only done 1 raid with it so far and it's working beautifully, touch wood it will stay that way.

Im on uncapped, so not worried at all about bandwidth, its just whenever things get busy (ie cities and raids) that its not so cool. so its good for that then? cos its cheaper than all other proxy things Ive seen so far. and hopefully simpler to use than some cases

easy to install?

I tried the Traffic Compressor on iBust and it works! :D I can actually BG now!

Me on Cell C on a EU private Classic server doing 40man MC/BWL/AQ/Onyxia
and it runs fine with 300-400 latency
Recently reformatted machine - so still need to do all the updates to try out official on CellC

Recent survey in the UK found that wireless broadband can be 30% to 40% slower than fixed line.

Cordless phones, remote controls and a slew of other electric devices can cause interference.

Np, happy to have helped. The paid version runs even better :). I bet it would even work on ISDN 12k that is. Not many people know of this service and not many people bother about saving traffic. The nice thing is that it saves traffic AND acts as a proxy, so lower latency and less bw used :D
