Hi All

Been playing Mechwarrior Online for awhile now and realized if i really want to get into the game i would properly need DSL.
So i was wondering is there anyone else playing MWO at the moment and if so what latency are you getting in the game and what ISP are you using?

Openweb: Getting 190ms on swtor red eclipse european server. Elder Scrolls online 300 ms on euro mega server, likely caused by the server still being located in the US.

Are you playing MWO at all?
 
Playing World of Tanks on Openweb Gold, get around 210 ms. Perfectly playable, no spikes to speak of.
 
Playing Mech Warrior Online on 2meg DSL.
Telkom uncapped - Laggy / Jittery (pings ~250-300)
Afrihost prepaid - Playable without any perceivable lag or spikes (ping ~250-300)
Axxess prepaid - Playable without any perceivable lag or spikes (ping ~280-320)

Its playable but not as enjoyable as sub 200ms. Do not pvp at all. Dungeons is manageable atleast the leveling dungeons will see when we get to the veteran dungeons.

As mentioned issue is the distance with eu server currently based in the US. My british friend who I play with also has 100ms higher then what she is used to compared to swtor.
 
Sounds like Afrihost is mayber a good one to try.

If someone does not mind, would they install MWO and give it a go to see what ping they get in game? 4GB download, sure not a problem for the uncapped guys ;)

Why not grab the free 1GB account from Web Africa?
 
Been playing MWO since closed Beta on 4mb line:

Openweb Gold Uncapped (IS): 270 to 300ms - no problems

moved to OpenWeb Business Uncapped (MTN): 300 to 330ms - laggy

and now on WebAfrica Business Uncapped (IS): 280 to 290ms - no problems

Looks like it is worth trying WebAfrica.

Anyone more Mechwarrior Online players would love to see more pings times from ISPs to compare.
