Anyone recognise this 80s cricketer?

Asked my dad who knows quite a bit but no luck. We sure this was a legit player? Not fringe or something? My ballies write at the back of the photo fyi!

Could actually be an EP B player, although he might also be an overseas club cricketer. They used to come out every season to coach and play club cricket too.

For some reason, my mother is interested in who this cricketer is for some Facebook group post.

I can't recall yesterday, let alone 35 years ago. I'm thinking Dave Richardson, but hell, I don't know.

This would be Eastern Cape around 1985.

Not sure why I keep chuckling at pith hat teacher, I recall a few jacks from him, the $@%#$.
Looks like Adam Sandler.

Send a tweet to the Warriors cricket club or ex Proteas

Going by the nose, I think it may be Fanie De Villiers but think he only played for Transvaal.

there is a passing resemblance at the very least

I checked the back of the photo, just says 1985. Wouldn't have kept it if it wasn't 'important' at the time.

Who knows. I think it can remain a mystery lol

Looks like Adam Sandler.
Which one is the Crabby, Mr Daturatech? lol

Looks like Lawrence Seeff to me.
But he played for Western Province and Transvaal as an opening batsman.
Made his millions by starting the real estate group Seeff Properties.
Currently resides in California, USA.
Here is a picture of him much older.

Not Fanie. Read his autobiography a few years ago and he had nothing to do with coaching in the EC.

Showed it to the guy from the Herald and he says it's a coach from Woodridge - he's going to see if he can get his name.
