Is there anyone still making normal tvs? I'm looking for something in the 50" to 55" range but they all seem to be smart tvs. Only non smart ones I can find are cheap 32" models.

I guess not. Im just curious because most people I know (myself included) would rather use a separate streaming box that can be cheaply replaced in the future when the OS becomes out dated.Does it matter..? You are not forced to use the smart functionality and the TV being smart is no longer a cost factor like it was some time back..
As long as you put some adhesive tape over all the built-in spy cams, and cut the wires on all the built-in spy microphones, and delete all the built-in spyware, then there will be literally no difference.Does it matter..?
Save some tin foil for the rest of us that actually use it for cooking...As long as you put some adhesive tape over all the built-in spy cams, and cut the wires on all the built-in spy microphones, and delete all the built-in spyware, then there will be literally no difference.

Got a Twinpower one from the Chinese indoor market at Bruma Lake a few years ago. Remote packed up immediately, replacement packed up a month later. CRT portable TV still working but lost colour ability after about 3 years. The cheap Chinese ones yes, Aim and such
