Would just like to know if you guys get lag from it when playing on Xbox Live. Most of the time I have 1 red bar

If your signal is poor you will get lag , and sometimes disconnects. Either try get your router closer or get a signal boosting antenna or buy a gaming router.

The signal is in the green so should be fine. Router is far from my room so wireless is the easiest

Doubt it's the router. Most games don't even hit the 20kb/sec down and 8kb/sec up mark. Your wireless connection will have to be incredibly bad for this to happen.

Sounds like you are just connecting to int servers, where ping can be as good as 200 and as bad as 450 and upwards.

And as for the gaming router comment by the other poster, you sir, are clueless.

I own one and its a POS, never egt one, luckily i got mine on sale for R150

Haha gaming router won't help jack haha, wireless is wireless you have a really bad setup then, I would rather go through the effort and lay cable, sounds tough but less missions

haha isie its just a router that has a tag saying gaming router, its nothing special a wifi gaming router cannot have anything better than a normal wifi router at the same price, its logic wifi spectrum stays the same irrispective of the modem type, wireless G will always be wireless G

so basically add the title gaming and charge the earth for unsupecting newbies.

Is anyone streaming content from media center over a wireless adapter?

I read on the amazon forum that the wireless adapter doesn't work with some routers, which I find hard to believe, anyone had issues like this? I have a Linksys WRT 54 G router with Tomato firmware.

jouda i do but i dont like it, only reason i have to do that is because i have seperate IP's for DSL and a different lan range on my pc , so i just do media centre over wireless, works fine since my wireless router is about 40cm away from my xbox lol but still slower than cable, but in the end would rather have cable for LIVE than wireless more reliable
