I saw an ad for them in my estate's magazine and is considering giving them a try as the ADSL in Mooikloof is just a pain in the ass. My line has been down every weekday for the last 3 weeks (during the day mostly) for at least an hour a day. Today it went down at 11am and I'm still without internet.

Back on topic, anyone using them? Any feedback? Their site has extremely little info so I don't really know what to expect.

Good day

Not sure about Bronberg service but we can help you. Im the technical manager at Wipronet. You can look on our website for more information, or you can send me a private msg with more detail.

They came on Friday to do the installation so we're sorted now, but thanks for the reply.

Hi BronbergWISP

I'm looking at your current internet offerings with interest, as they compare reasonably well to Telkom's LTE service (both in terms of speed and price) and I believe I probably have line-of-sight to the Bronberg "Castle" :D

I just wanted to ask some questions about the installation and setup, as I already have access to some of the required hardware :

1) I assume that if I pay the "Once-off Setup & Installation fee", the Ubiquiti hardware becomes my own - correct ?
2) Other than the Ubiquiti dish/receiver, what hardware is included in the fee ?
3) If one already has (or buys) the right hardware, what would the applicable setup/installation fee be ?
4) What is the possibility of doing a self-install ?

Not trying to penny-pinch, just that I have some of the bits already and my existing installation is rather unique. I'm also rather particular about installations and hardware ownership :-D

Thanks

Is this still an Issue? I'm looking to Move to Rietvlei View and seeing as there are no DSL Exchanges in that area, was looking for reliable WISPs within that area. How's the Service been like since then?

TipCy,

I've been with Bronberg Wisp now for about 2 years, some initial smaller issues but they have seriously ramped up their tech support guys. So 95% of the time you get perfect hassle free internet, you have the odd issue especially during summer months with lightning damage but that can be expected from any WISP. Otherwise I would give them a go!

Hi all,

I was looking at Wipronet (really expensive) but heard that they now belong to Brongberg Wisp. Is that true and if so, when did it happen?

Their connection is good. However their service is really REALLY bad. Technical department is helpful. But accounts and sales. Worst service ever. I have been with Bronberg WISP for nearly 4 months. First they installed the line when I just enquired about. Then contacted them to find out what is happening. No one knew what was going on. 1 week later I get a phone call to ask how was the service from the installation guys. They were friendly and helpful. But sales. Had to phone them 3 times just to get the line speed correct. I signed a debit order. Not once did it go off my account. Phoned into accounts support. According to accounts the debit order was active. So didn't pay for 2 months. Phoned in this month to see if they had even picked up that the money wasn't going off. They see an amount outstanding for 2 months now want the cash. No invoice in the 2 months. Nothing. Email accounts because I finally had enough. 48 hours no reply.

Worst ISP i have ever come across. i wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

and this is not just for 1 day. i have had such ridiculous "fiber" speed for weeks now.

Hi All,
Just a heads up. This must be the worst sales experience of a ISP i have ever had. I applied online and was contacted 3 days later. They informed be what is on offer and after sending all the required documents is still waiting for feedback. I stopped the process and applied to afrihost. The service was installed and working before bronberg asked me why I stopped the process.

Has anyone even tried to access their website. Currently DOA?

Can anyone rate or review their experience with Bronberg?
Especially their service in Amsterdam Estate in JHB?
