Been using endomondo for about 2 week now, but the battery drain is completely off the charts.

60 minutes walking outside, clear line of sight for GPS and all, listening to music at about 40% volume and I use north of 60% battery, its completely insane, used Noom before this and that topped out at 20% under the exact same circumstances. I walk the same basic route every day.

AUdio coach gives an update every 500m so that about 10/11 updates, phones doing nothing else in the BG as sync is disabled as I don't want to be disturbed, but I want the AGPS which should help with the battery, can't imagine what it would do if I used pure GPS.

Is anyone else experiencing this, I cant image too many people would be, this app would not of survived this long if it destroyed your battery.

The paid version comes equipped with a "low battery" mode. Makes a huge difference.

I run mine with only GPS. Mobile data switched off & no music. Lasts much longer than the free version

Got the paid version and they say you should only use the low power mode for speeds in excess of 13km/hr, im walking so thats only like 5.5.
You should try turning sync off and mobile data back on as without it you disable you AGPS.

Tried that one day, took nearly 5min before it got a gps signal, while with mobile data on it takes about 12 seconds. Used it like that for 2 days and noticed no difference at all between mobile data off or on when it came to battery.

Put low power mode on about 2 days before I tried the data on sync off thing and also no difference.

That sounds fishy.

I use it for cycling, maybe that's why it's not an issue for me.

No GPS issues either with mobile data off.

With mobile data on and no music I get about 3 hours cycling. I don't use low power mode. Much more with data off.

I also have the pro version. No excessive drain here. I use it for cycling and indoor cycling.
