Are you certain vodacom offer usenet? The free publicly accessible news-servers are generally poor wrt content retention. IMO pay the $9.98 for something like easynews or sign up with IS who's news-server is apparently pretty decent.tjomma said:

It didn't sound as if they offer usenet. The techie who contacted me did not even know what news groups where.
My problem is still that i cannot get a connection over 3G, even to the free usenet groups. Could it be that network policies on my laptop is preventing access to port 119?
