We are considering using the Netgear DG834GTUK wireless modem/switch. Does anyone have experience with using it? Any problems we need to know about before buying it?

I've used the wired Netgear DG834. It's an absolute pleasure to setup and use !

Have had only excellent reports on Netgear.
I purchased Linksys WAG54G for R910 (Uniterm Direct) and it is a real pleasure.
Was advised that PCMCIA card should be the same as router otherwise problems. ;)

I use the DG834G (4port Switch with 54mbps Wireless), and it's out of this world brilliant. Excellent webpage interface and great for 24hr connectivity everyday of the year.

With that said i use the switch, no the wireless, as it doesn't travel through walls very easily unless u have base stations. I would recommend setting up network cables thru the roof for optimal use.

Cheers

I am using the DG834GTUK, no problems at all. Easy to set up!!! Lots of functionality e.g DynDNS client built in. Even the beta firmware version currently available runs fine.

I say that you should use a d-link product - - they rock...

I can also get you the D-LINK, ADSL & POWER SURGE PROTECTOR (REQ: FOR TELKOM SUPPORT & WARRANTY) for R170.00

pm me if u are interested
