Anyone using solar to keep an EV charged?

Just wondering what sort of solar setup this would require - ie. to run the house and also charge the car.

I'm assuming a lot more panels and a larger than standard inverter to start.

Check the X3 or iX3 thread. Someone got it working with a 5KW SunSynk.

Running a 8kw Sunsynk. Keep the house running and top up the battery on the Hybrid during lunch.

Thats the entire house three bed, the geyser and the car. We make around 4kw from the panels the rest is supplemented from batteries and then late afternoon the batteries charge up again for the night.
