The WL500g is identical in hardware and software to the popular Linksys WRT54G.

The ASus has more features it seems, i have the Linksys WRT , waiting to use it in the JAWUG net.

The Asus WL500G is the same reference platform as the Linksys WRT54GS, and sports a USB port and parallel port. A bit pricey, and availability generally sucks but a neat device nonetheless.

If you find a supplier with decent pricing, and stock, locally let me know too plz.

After posting i realised this one does not have a built ADSL modem.

Linksys WAG54G, Netgear DG384, or Dlink DSL604T are all the same platform of ADSL modem too.
