Anything better than Cell C Giga bundles

I am out in Kommetjie for a while. I have fam here and will also need to set up an internet connection for them.

There is a telkom line, the person who has the telkom & adsl line is moving out today. I am considering going with an ADSL connection, but I am concerned about how long it will take to transfer it over to my name.

I need to be online most the day, so am considering mobile broadband. My laptop has a sim slot, so it would be quite convenient having a mobile data sim in there and not having to worry about finding wifi hotspots.

I have been looking at the Cell C Giga bundles. currently:

R1499 - 100GB anytime data
R999 - 50GB day - 150GB midnight to 6ish.
(valid for 365 days)

Anyone aware of any better deals than that?

Bare in mind that I am out in Kommetjie. Just did a speedtest and was getting 32mbs dl speed on cellc.

Prepaid that's prob best

Else you need to look at 24mth contracts.

Either R899 from CellC/month
Or R999 from Telkom (seem to recall this one you even get minutes to talk)

Don't want a 24 mth contract.
Also - don't really see any sim only contracts that you can directly compare to the prepaid Giga bundles.
Closest would be R199pm for 5GB - So thats 60GB a year for R2388. That makes the giga bundles look like a better deal.
Already have plenty minutes to talk!

I was looking for a friend and indeed, they are the prepaid data best deals if you know how not to waste data (like limiting your torrent upload speed and stopping the torrent when done) and stretch it out over a 6 to 12 months. Telkom price is almost double the cost and VC and MTN just not in the game.

For example, for a 12yo kid that will use all 200gb in a month looking at youtube videos and stuff, a 5GB per month for 12 months for a once off R1999 Internet Starter from Telkom is a good deal.
