Anyway to Improve Upload Speeds?

Hi

I have really slow uploading speeds, (9kb/s transfer rate maximum) on my 384kbps ADSL Line, and this causes lots of "timed out" errors.

Is there anyway (or any program) I could use to improve my upload speeds on my line besides upgrading the line?

ngada08 i hate to tell you this but you will only see a max upload rate of about 12KB/s on a 384kbps line as your upload speed is 128 kbps and you should factor in overheads and all those things.
if you want you can upgrade to a 4Mbps or 1Mbps line and boost your upload to 512Kbps then you should see a upload speed of around 52KB/s

You could use WAN Virtualization i.e. using multiple lines, which could be one or more of ADSL, 3G, iBurst, VSAT, etc. and then use traffic steering, load balancing or even bonding. Bonding works really well with bursty traffic where you open up multiple pipes for a short period and then you do not use or pay for them the rest of the time. Bonding however requires an end-to-end solution. On the other hand, load distribution and traffic steering works best for multiple users where each user benefits from the aggregation of the links against time.

Upgrading to 1Mbps ADSL is so worth it.

If you're not downloading that much or playing FPS games online, then you'll be better off with 8ta/Cell C's HSDPA/3G deals that would give you anything from 2-20GB/month.

setting an upload limit of around 10KB should leave enough room for the overhead to go thru and help avoid timeouts
